The National Park Service Department of Conservation has been working with the Campos Group as they document the remarkable work they do to help safeguard our nation's treasures. Their work ranges from scientific analysis of artifacts to research into processes and techniques to authenticate and conserve historic items. The group presents papers at national and international conferences and trains National Park Service personnel how to clean, maintain, and safeguard these artifacts of our heritage.
Recently, we created 35mm slides from PowerPoint presentations from NPS Department of Conservation personnel at the Harpers Ferry Center in West Virginia. The files were emailed to the Campos Group and we returned the completed slides by express courier to the presenter. This most recent presentation illustrated work one of their preservationsts was doing to preserve Native American totem poles.
